La Tastiera Creata Con Le Lattine Di Birra

Molti progetti che vengono creati con Arduino e Raspberry PI sono principalmente sviluppati da geek. L’ultima creazione da parte di un team di geek e Staroprarem riguarda la possibilità di “riciclare” le lattine di birra per creare una tastiera. Andiamo a vedere in dettaglio.

Molti geek si saranno trovati molto spesso a cestinare le lattine di birra che hanno bevuto dopo una serata in compagnia degli amici. Staroprarem ha creato una vera e propria tastiera con le lattine di birra ed utilizzando ad Arduino e controller touch. L’iniziativa è stata presentata durante la Webstock Conference del 2012 in Romania ma l’intero progetto è stato connesso ad un Raspberry PI e ad uno schermo al plasma, per permettere alle persone di inserire la propria e-mail per sottoscrivere la mailing list di Staroprarem. Questa tastiera, composta da 44 tasti/lattine di birra, può essere anche utilizzata e connessa ad un computer permettendo così di aggiornare il proprio status su Facebook, Twitter o di qualsiasi social network durante le feste. Il progetto è stato creato in collaborazione tra Staroprarem e Robofun Create, un sito nel quale appaiono gadget tecnologici inusuali.

The keyboard can be used with any device. For the 2012 Webstock conference in Romania, it was hooked up to a Raspberry Pi and plasma screen monitor. The conference was sponsored by Staropramen. The keyboard was used to encourage participants to sign up for the brewer’s e-mail list.

We did this at Webstock, event which took place in Bucharest in September. Staropramen, one of the sponsors of the event asked us for an innovative way to offer a trip to Prague to one of the event’s guests.
So, we came up with a keyboard made out of 44 Staropramen beer cans. Each beer can was a key, and whenever someone touched it, the corresponding letter appeared on a large plasma screen (just like any regular computer keyboard).
And the surprise was fantastic! The user experience and engagement overcame any expectation. Every single person who attended Webstock tried the keyboard and participated to the contest.
Behind the scene, the system is built around an Arduino board and a few capacitive controllers (just like the ones which are inside smartphones’ touch screens), connected to a Raspberry PI board which controls the plasma screen display.
